Soldier's vision restored

Volodymyr was wounded near Bakhmut, literally a month after completing basic military training.

For a whole month, his parents didn't know where he was or what had happened to him. All this time he was in a hospital in Kyiv, unconscious. Doctors applied eye drops daily, hoping to save his eyes.

Now he has a prosthetic in one eye. The other eye had been without vision for two years. But throughout this time, doctors from various centers supported him, fighting for every chance.

The patient's mother has been by his side since the first days. It was she who, following the doctors' prescriptions, applied drops literally every 15 minutes, day after day. Thanks to her care and treatment, the eye was saved.
