From darkness to light

At the beginning of full-scale invasion, Alex, a volunteer, was wounded and gradually lost his sight.

For two years, he couldn’t see anything until he came to the Novyi Zir Medical Center.

There, doctors performed surgery to replace and reposition his intraocular lens, remove previously injected silicone oil, and remove the sutures from his cornea.

Since then, his vision has gradually improved, and he can now see at 50% of normal vision.
