How we managed to save eyesight: a soldier's story

In September 2024, soldier Oleksandr Istomov underwent a posterior closed vitrectomy, an operation during which the vitreous cavity of the eye was filled with silicone oil. This helped to fix the retina in the correct position, contributing to its successful growth.

After the operation, Oleksandr has already undergone two follow-up examinations, and the results are encouraging - the retina has grown well. In the future, there is a prospect of removing the silicone oil, which may improve the quality of vision.

We are glad that thanks to the professionalism of our doctors, Oleksandr got a chance to restore his vision. We will definitely find out his impressions after the next stage of treatment.

You can find more information and Oleksandr's thoughts in the video.

With best wishes,

Team of CO CF See the Victory.
